And There Was No Light

It’s been quite an adventurous couple of weeks in Boston, and I’m finally snatching a few moments to post some photos. We’ll start at the very beginning, a very good place to start…

Before classes began, Kostya invited Darien and I to a small island off the coast of Manchester. Baker’s Island, as the little piece of heaven is known, was a childhood haunt of the Bakhurin family after they came to the US. With no running water, gas powered refrigerators, and relaxation stretching out for miles into the distant waves, it was just the sort of getaway I needed. I was also happy to see high school friends getting back together after a long hiatus.
